Cards That Give Back: A Little Kindness Goes a Long Way

Cards That Give Back: A Little Kindness Goes a Long Way

Ever think, “I should send them a card,” and then realize you don’t have one handy?

Maybe a friend has a birthday coming up. Someone helped you out. Or a person you care about could use a little cheer.

I love those reasons to send a card. You don’t need a big event or fancy words. Sometimes, “You made my day!” or “I’m thinking of you” says it all.

That’s why I’ve made a few changes to the card shop at Linda Bonner Studios. My handmade greeting cards now come in collections of four, so you can keep a little kindness ready to send.

And there’s a fun new part: every collection gives back!

Four Cards for You. One More to Share Kindness.

Each collection includes four handmade cards with envelopes for $30.

For every collection you buy, I donate one more handmade card to the Creative Kindness® Foundation’s Cards for Kindness® program.

Creative Kindness works with over 450 partner groups to get cards to people who could use some cheer and connection.

You get four cards to share with people in your life. I send an extra card to help brighten someone else’s day.

That’s kindness going a little further.

The card I donate is chosen to meet the program’s current needs. It may have a different message or theme from the cards you buy.

Find Your Kind of Collection

Do you love sending birthday wishes? Always have someone to thank? There’s a collection for that.

  • The Birthday Collection: Help someone feel special on their big day. Cake is nice. A card is easier to mail!
  • The Compassion Collection: Send a message of care with get well, sympathy, thinking-of-you, and just-for-you cards.
  • The Everyday Collection: Two thank-you cards and two cards with no front message leave plenty of room for your own ideas.
  • The Celebrating Down Syndrome Collection: Inspired by my son and my work as a disability advocate, these cards celebrate people with Down syndrome. Share them with anyone, for any occasion.
  • The Seasonal Collection: Stay in touch with two fall and two winter holiday cards.

Keep a set in your desk, tuck one into a gift, or give a whole collection to a friend who loves sending cards. And watch for new collections being added.

A Few Words Can Mean So Much

Not sure what to write? Start small.

“Thanks for always showing up.”

“I’m so glad we work together.”

“Just wanted you to know I care.”

Think of a neighbor, a coworker, or a volunteer who gives their time. A note in your own handwriting can make your thanks feel personal.

That’s what I enjoy most about making cards: knowing each one can become part of a connection between two people.

Now, with Cards That Give Back, each collection creates one more chance to share that caring.

Who would you send your first card to?
